Many residents of the Parish will be aware of the serious plant disease Phytophthora, the presence of which was identified in the area earlier in 2011 amongst rhododendron plants in the Burntwood area. The attached document, prepared by Defra, describes how plants are affected by the disease and draws attention to the ways in which members of the public can help to ensure that its spread is minimised.
